Stevens Model Riot Gun in Local Pawn Shop - Is it Worth This Price?
The Stevens Manufactured Riot Gun is available in a local pawnshop, offered to me for $700.00. Is it worth this price? I have been looking for a riot gun, but the other manufacturer, Winchester I believe, with heat shield. However, they are pretty pricey.
What is this riot gun worth? Or, is this a good deal? I'm not sure of the year of manufacture. Perhaps someone can tell me.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and comments.
What say ye?

Here's one that sold for $850. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/785439618
Plus shipping, plus transfer fee -- call it $920ish all told. And it sold via Buy It Now. It could very well be worth more than that.
BUY IT. Keep your eyes peeled for the heat shield (they do turn up from time to time) and you'll have something pretty special.
I'd be on that like white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. I'm a sucker for the Stevens 520 anyway though. I bet I've owned 6 over the years.

There should be three transverse grooves on the underside of the barrel for the bayonet adaptor screws, not two. I think that barrel may be cut down.

Very good catch, Tom.
My desire would've blinded me if I ran across that in the wild. Glad I didn't! I would've had to devise some sort of barrel extension and then hid it with a heat shield.
