Scope serial matches the one on the top of the butt wrist 17399
Bracket serial matches the rifles serial on the wrist
The T stamping is not evident on the left receiver it does have the "S" or am I missing the picture happy to be corrected. TIA

£1500 of that price is Auctioneers commission and tax.
An expensive way to buy.....

I suspect it may be one of the 'scopeless' rifles that has had a scope matched up to it. The bracket does bear this rifle's number, but there is also a previous number X'ed out. There does not appear to have been a previous scope number to this one stamped into the wrist of the butt, but the stamping shows the oval margins around the numbers suggesting the stamps used were not those originally used at H&H's. This, plus the missing receiver side wall T could mean that it has been mated up. Even if this is correct I suppose it could have been done by the military....... The scope & bracket also look to have been (quite nicely) refinished.
It's nice enough but as people have said, a lot of money for what it is.
