Trapdoor Bayonet Identification
Hi yall! I bought 3 trapdoor bayonets a few weeks ago without knowing much about them. I was wondering if yall might could help me identify them as well as if each is maybe rarer than the other? Also, i was wondering what you might value each of them at? The "US" scabbards bayonet seems a bit bent but i dont know if its supposed to be like that. The "1886" pic on the mouth of the scabbard is from the blank scabbard. Were there any changes in the bayonets or were all the differences just to the scabbards? I really appreciate any help yall can give me!!

Can't really tell much about the individual bayonets as you don't show any specific markings on them. They are interchangeable with the scabbards so the scabbards are no help in identifying them. You have a US scabbard which is federal and a Pennsylvania National Guard scabbard. Not sure what the blank one would be for, possibly a private repair of some sort. The PA NG scabbard is going to be rarer than the US scabbard but they aren't uncommon. Lot of NG scabbards around.

What specific markings are you looking for?

Usually aren't many markings on trapdoor bayonets but there should at minimum be US on the top of the blade.

US marking is present on all three. Were there differences between the fonts or something of the US mark over the years?
