VE Day
Did every one over look the fact that this is VE day? Those of us who served in the ETO remember.

It is a National holiday in France; although the bigger rememberance ceremonies take place on the 11 November for WWI due to the much larger casualty figures for the military in 1914-18.
I know that the French
schools did a lot for the 100 annivesary of the end of WWI. Also met some school kid's collecting money for a school trip to Normandy which is encouraging.
