No 5 Mk 1 in a movie?
I believe so. If my eyes did not deceive me.
In you only live twice 007 is charging up some stairs to the control room to keep Blofield from starting WWIII when he is confronted and dispatches a bad guy with?
A No 5 Mk 1 (later model with the forend cap).
My day off was not completely wasted.

That's Blofeld, Ernst Stavro, Moneypenny. Played by everybody and his brother. Telly Savalas, for example. You think you waste time. HAHAHAHA.
"...My day off was not completely wasted..." You're clearly doing something wrong. snicker.
Spelling and Grammar count!

The old TV series "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" used silver painted No.5 carbine actions and a black painted buttstock and a faked up gas cylinder arrangement to create the Scifi prop "Trank rifle" they used in hunting monsters. As I recall they took the forend off and the big gas cylinder was up the mag housing. I remember them cycling the bolt for "Realism" before attacking. Don't know if it was a Mk1 or Mk2...

I seem to recall one of the Bond Movies, where the baddies are armed with MK2 Stens, if I remember correctly. This is the Movie where 007 and a girl are chased through a radioactive swamp by a fire breathing dragon (a Land Rover/Jeep fitted with a flame thrower.)

The rifles were also used in "Judith" (1966, with Sophia Loren) and "The 7th Dawn" (1964, with William Holden). "The 7th Dawn" plays in Malaya, "Judith" in Palestine - both after WW2.
