A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I bought an excellent one for $100 and sold the other one on ebay...they're not a cheap item.

Oatmeal: I have one of these sights and discovered I would have to cut the stock on my .22 Mk.lV to install(NOT). I don't think it would be be sturdy enough for a .303. There is only one attaching screw . See Skinnerton P. 211

I have a BSA that has been drilled and tapped. I have been thinking of adding a receiver mounted sight. I thought I could maybe find a way to mount a RossMk.III sight. I found photos the Cooey sight and it started me too thunk'in.

They're really easy to mount, they're just held on by the ejector screw. As someone mentioned though, that was for .22 recoil, not .303. Might not work very long...

I have seen the sights at $150 at one table at the gunshows, and gone a couple tables down and seen them for $20. If you have a Cdn marked no2mk4 trainer, then they really are a must have.
