HRA M1 Garand stock stamping

Hello there.
New member with a question on the origin of my Harrington & Richardson stock stamping. Rifle is a mixmaster with mostly HRA parts but some SA. Receiver dates to February 1954. It is equipped with a HRA stock but has these stamp markings. Someone on another Forum said that he believed the markings were put on the stock by the Greek Military but was unsure. Would someone be able to comment?/ Robert

Typical Greek marks involved just the last 4 digits of the serial number without the double letter series shown in your photo.

Perhaps, but I'm not too sure about that. I have a right side of barrel marked CAI St Albans VT 5.2 SA with an identical style stock stamping AA 43321. I remember reading some posts years ago about CAI M1 icon

's imported from Germany icon

that were stamped like this. I haven't heard anything on the subject since.

Did some searching and came up with this old thread and I made a new discovery. The poster shows a photo of a 3 digit number in the barrel channel of his AA stamped stock. My AA stock has a 3 digit number in the barrel channel too and it is not a IHC sock. There is more to this AA mystery.

Thanks for posting that info ROCK.
My stock isn't numbered like the one pictured above and my barrel isn't marked with an importers marking.
