importing brass and dies to Canada
Okay, I've done a search with various wordings and I can't find an answer, so here goes: Has anyone here imported either empty brass or reloading dies into Canada
as a private sale, not from a dealer/commercial retailer? I'd like to know what problems you faced before I commit myself to a purchase.

Excellent, Jim, thank you. Wish I'd posted here first. Could have saved myself a lot of typing.

You didn't ask over on CGN did you? You'll get the phone book of conjecture over there...

I decline to answer that, on the grounds that it will make me look stupid.

No, not so...I just avoid getting involved in their childish arguments over there, to much like children screaming in the darkness. I use the equipment exchange feverishly though. Anyway...Brian Dick
and I have done business and he knows the words to the songbook.

I know exactly what you're saying, trust me!
I've PM'd Brian; we'll see what he has to tell me.

As it was explained on gunownersofcanada, it's not the importing that's the issue. It's illegal, by U.S. law, to export reloading components without their permits. Reloading equipment you can just order. It doesn't matter if it's commercial retail or not.
Spelling and Grammar count!

Then the US should make this easier to find in a web search. I too have searched the internet for this subject many different wordings with no results that actually answered the question.

Just PM Brian Dick
here and he'll explain it to you. Never mind the bar room lawyer. Ask the dealer that has done it for business... https://www.milsurps.com/member.php?u=2818
