Manpack Carrier Shelf

Is this the correct shelf for general use on the British icon

Manpack Carrier for say carrying an ammunition box, please? Or was this shelf intended just for radio sets with a different shelf intended for general use? Most of the Manpacks for sale seem to have no shelf with them.

I think it's for either. Ours was, it looked different because we had a different rucksack. It was just a load shelf.

I've got one of these G.S. Carriers and it's got the shelf on it. I'll have to find it one of these days.
