WW1 'Periscope Prism company' sniper scope???
I have an oportunity to purchase what i beleive is a sniper scope off a WW1 SMLE sniper rifle.
Can the experts please have a look at the attached photos & let me know what you think.

Looks absolutely typical. Try and find out if it was brought home by an ANZAC vet and if so, who. The only thing I see that looks a little different is the two holes in the flat of the dovetail.
Hard to say when the initials went on the case, but looks like it was a long time ago. Do a little detective work; provenance adds a lot of value if you're planning to resell it.

Depends on local conditions, but based on the Aldis with case we saw offered in NZ
recently with a starting bid of $1000NZD something around that maybe?

I've had a number of small batches of repro PPCo bases made over the years Bindi. I don't have any currently, but was in the process of getting another small run made when the present fun & games hit us. Hopefully they'll arrive in the fullness of time......
