Colt 1945 CMP
Just received a CMP
pistol that appears to be an Albany refurb based upon info I found on the web, 2.3500M. I ordered a field grade and it doesn't appear to have been used since rebuild. A few thousand later pistols I noticed were inspected by JSB. Can someone identify the parts, it has a late RR slide that is reparked, looks that way to me. I would think the frame is reparked but the bullet ramp is not parked and I noticed that the staking on the screw bushings in the mag well don’t appeared to be parked. The numbers, etc are crisp but the GHD appears to parked as well as the Ord stamp, but when I look at late pistols on line they look about the same. The grips are reinforced colt with the mold number. Any assistance would be great, here are the pictures.

here are some additional parts that I am not sure of time frame or maker. The barrel has a 7 underneath which you cannot see.

Nice gun for a field grade. The frame looks original to me; the ramp has the horizontal striations I would expect from the Colt factory, & the burnished grip screw bushing stake marks can't be faked. I need to look at the inspector initials & ordnance seal with a 10X jewelers loupe, as burnishing is often just inside part of the stamping.
The barrel markings are correct for late production (1945). Of course, it was originally blue, but the extra link pin staking mark was applied after it was parkerized at the arsenal.

The frame looks reparked and as mentioned the barrel would have originally been blued assuming it is a WWII barrel.

Not a bad example. It is rebuilt so mixed up parts are the norm. Block numbered serial number are desirable. Does the barrel have a C in a box? Regardless you did OK.

No, it has colt 45 auto just above the lug on the left side, a P on the lug, and a 7 just in front of the lug underneath
