Yes. Cup launches for the no 4 were introduced in 1942. They were designated Discharger No. 3 Mk I. 10,600 were made by Wembley Tool co. and British
Vacuum Cleaners.

The impact of discharge being taken solely through the bbl lugs turned out to be more than the rifle could take, and Sht L.E.'s were retained for this role for much of the war.
