1903A3 Jungle Carbine
I was wandering around the Internet looking for an SKS to buy and ran across this odd listing 1903A3 Jungle Carbine, you just gotta ask yourself why sometimes.

Junk, but maybe a few uninformed buyers out there.

It would be interesting to shoot. I have a M38 Turkish
carbine, M38 Mosin, and M44 Mosin and they kick like a mule. That would probably require a chiropractor after the first shot or man up and shoot it again to put your shoulder back in place. If I had the money I'd get one. It would look good next to the 1903 Mark 1 and the 1903A3.
30-06 out of that short barrel... Where is my limb saver and padded shooting jacket...

Interesting the on-going myth about recoil and carbines.

I’m looking at a Columbian M24 Mauser in 30-06. Shooooort. That should be pretty much like this one. And kick the same. Will look at it next week end

Ain't no myth. Have you shot a "Jungle" carbine?

There's the flash hider that so many guys are in need of, wasted on that...

Yep, shot that. Interesting that commercial carbines - same weight, same barrel length, same ammunition - don't have any comments about recoil, muzzle flash, etc...

So, you're saying physics only works if you believe in it?

Frankenrifle
Looks like someone, lacking in knowledge, mated a blast deflector off a Lee-Enfield Rifle No.V Mk.1 with a chopped M1903A3. The aforementioned British
"Jungle Carbine" is actually a short barreled rifle, which saw use mostly with British Commandos in Norway
...."Jungle"? Yeah, right. A shame to do that to an M1903A3...Probably an aftermarket blast deflector. Seen them for sale on line. Recoil? I'm not chopping a .30-06 to see what that feels like, but my No. V Mk1 came stock in 1944 with a 3/4 inch vulcanized rubber recoil pad....Because you NEEDED it! But this Frankenrifle was assembled by some individual trying to pretend that it's something it isn't....Some peoples' kids....
