Current market prices on K98’s
Hey all. Looking to get a donor rifle for a repro sniper build. I literally can’t even find R.C/non matching K98
for under $700! I feel like a year ago their was plenty non matching in the 500$ range.
The market is absolutely absurd on these things!!

Just have to keep hitting gun shows once they reopen. Prices are pretty crazy unless you find a motivated buyer. Cheapest Russian
Capture I have seen in the past 2 years was $600 but at the same show I picked up my all-matching rifle for $700. It's just a matter of continually searching. Good luck!!

Try to pick up a Yugoslav 98/48 (also called Zastava). Basically a Yugoslav capture K98k
with all parts usually kept together with original gun. Numbers and “eagles” are changed/scrubbed BUT they make a great shooter. Usually are in very good shape. Got a couple from a place in Arizona and they are mechanically very sound.

The problem is RC's have been dragged up in price with all the matching and bolt m/m guns that have gone ballistic, which is what happens when people get priced out of each level of desirability above, they then look at the level below, which increases demand and etc.,etc.
Just the thing for putting round holes in square heads.

Very well and correctly said. I frequent a local shop where the owner keeps the prices on consignments very reasonable. Examples are an all matching 1934 Izzy 91/30 all-matching for $250 and an all-matching M48 for $350, both in great condition (the 91/30 has the wrong stocks but that will ne easy to rectify). Good deals are still out there, but harder to find. The auction site I normally use is running and auction today but the prices for California guns is twice the price of the guns sold through their Arizona office. Needless to say, I won't be getting the Unique Courts pistol I had my eye on.....
