Looking For Measurements And Engineering Drawings Of SMLE Purdey Mounts
Hi All,
Im looking to create a faithful reproduction of the SMLE Purdy Mounting system for the Aldis line of scopes and was wondering if anyone can help me with some engineering drawings or measurements.
I want to use these to create a 3D model, test print the mounts on my 3D printer then eventually get them milled in steel.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as im currently running on images only!
(Is there a patient for these things or some form of description of how they function?)
As always, thanks for your help,
Regards,
Sam.

Is this not the same request that you posted 2 1/2 hours earlier ?
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

We were just giving you a gentle 'ribbing' by quoting you wanted a 'patient' rather than a 'patent'.

Sam, I can't remember coming across the Purdey mount patents, but I have seen the PPCo & one or two others. They show the principles of the mount system, rather than precise measurements. You'd really need engineering drawings for what you want. I've never seen them, but Purdey could still have them I suppose........worth an email?? Or has someone already tried?
