M96 Swedish Mauser
This is the favorite of all my rifles. I got this one several years ago for a song and a dance even though I am left handed and steer away from bolt guns generally. It's in incredible condition to be 116 years old and is all matching, wood & steel, except for the cleaning rod. But that is not unusual for this year model. As I said, bolt guns are awkward for me so I stick to semi-auto, lever action, etc. Though I do not get rid of guns, this one would be the last one to go if I had to move them.
The wife had to have surgery on her neck a few years ago and can take very little recoil. She gave up firing our Savage 110 in .270, but she is fairly comfortable shooting the low recoil 6.5x55mm!

Nice piece, with the convertion plate for the new spitzer bullets.
A keeper!

While I'm right handed, I've had it said to me by some lefties that the Swedish
and other rifles without bent bolt handles have a slight advantage for reaching over the action to grab.

Thank you Ovidio, the rifle came to me minus the plate but with the four Brad holes in the stock.I bought another one and mounted it in place for cosmetic appeal! The rear sight has been altered by Swedish
armorers to accommodate the change in ammo years back.

I'm inclined to agree Mac. It is much easier to reach over the Swedish Mauser action to grasp the straight bolt than to reach across my Savage 110 with the bent bolt!
