Cellphones being transported. Driver is ex SAP Special Task Force. Passenger following orders like a champ and cool enough to have the fine motor skills to operate a phone. Perpetrators ran away and left their rammed vehicle. Two times AK47 recovered as far as I know.
Staying in the vehicle and getting away from the ambush site is good. Ramming to disable also. Only de-bussing when vehicle was disabled by final ram.

Watched it on the TV before I saw this post man he kept his cool our armoured cars that are used for cash collection and delivery have shielded gun ports so return fire from the guys in the back may have given the would be robbers something to think about with lead coming their way.
Hope he knows a good double glazing salesman......goes to show good quality ballistic glass can even stop Klashnikov rounds fired by inexperienced attackers.
'Tonight my men and I have been through hell and back again, but the look on your faces when we let you out of the hall - we'd do it all again tomorrow.' Major Chris Keeble's words to Goose Green villagers on 29th May 1982 - 2 PARA

I know, the whole time I was watching this video I was thinking I sure hope they don't go for the tires! That's the Achilles heel of any vehicle, you stop its ability to roll or to roll quickly, then it's a sitting duck. Even tanks ain't much good with no tracks ha ha

Toyota Land Cruiser. No crew in the back. And no gun ports or opening windows. So only way would have been to open a door if the wanted to return fire. Bigger CIT vehicles have ports though.

When they stop a vehicle the petrol or explosives come out so moving is good. Blast it open or set it alight to make the guys inside open the doors.
My bad the reflection of the rear window made it look like there were personnel in the back our cash trucks have 3 personnel 1 driver and 2 collecting thing is they appear to have the S & W 38 Spl side arms which I suppose being the good guys you would not want over penetration in a public shoot out.
Over here there could be an escort vehicle for protection. Depends on what they are doing and carrying. And a huge variety of weapons ranging from revolvers to semi-auto rifles like in the video.
The problem is that they are up against select fire weapons flowing in across our borders from higher up in Africa and also stolen and sold police and military weapons like R5's - the police didn't pay their supplier so are now back on a paper based system for controlling their own weapons. And the odd old 'struggle' weapon.
And the evidence system was also shut down due to non-payment so to handle casings, dna, etc gathered from a scene afterwards is also now problematic.
JD,
I'd assume they use a Run Flat tire, either Sealed rigid foam or the steel inner band types. I believe they are now making many new versions of bullet proof rims also.
All the 'Rappers' are using them
Driver calm, cool and looking for pay back.
Anyone see the guy standing on the freeway that shot the passengers window?
Pretty brazen..... Wish the driver would have drove over him.
Need Alexa or phone app: "Call Josh"
This reminds me of driving the Cass Corridor in Detroit years ago.

Do they have access to special run-flat tires? All the run flat tires I have ever seen are not great and can only get you a very short distance, but they probably have the real deal that can withstand a lot more for armored vehicles I'm sure. I thought about the run flats, but I didn't think they would stand up to a 7.62x39. I bet armored vehicles use similar grade run-flat tires similar to what's on the beast, the limo that the president uses. I have never used run flat tires myself so I don't have any experience with them, but I have always heard not to bother with them ,that they are all pretty much junk. I believe a lot of BMW's and newer cars come with them from the factory nowadays. That driver certainly did keep his cool though!
