Certainly potential is there. Cross the fingers and hope the bore cleans up. Receiver ring is already drilled and tapped, so setting up a rear bridge for a base wouldn't be a sin.

In these days of water jets it should be easy enough to cut out a wrench for the 1910 action, and get new barrels made.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
Edward Bernays, 1928
Much changes, much remains the same.

Never even considered water jet cutting the opening for a receiver wrench. Great idea! That makes a lot of sense. Might even be a market for them, for various firearms.

Be very careful on making any plans with a 280 Ross that involve money.
I have owned, shot and handled good number over the past 60 years and never saw one with a pristine barrel.
Most are shot out.... or worn to the point that it is not worth investing money on it unless you want to have a nice shiny wall hanger.
