Who was that Masked Man or how young to be cradle snatched..
Got this one thrown at me, someone who had a very interesting career through many countries.
Lets see if you old hands can recognise this lad......and it's not me.

Well I thought that would be harder, an aussie hat, 37 pattern web belt and looking like a schoolboy.....

It's a '44 pattern belt along with the other webbing we had at the time. Studded ammo boots too..... JUST pre-higher combat boots. Grey or khaki woolen socks (best for your feet) rolled over tops of boots. The shorts were probably an inch or so shorter than the regulations allowed but nobody really bothered too much. Taken outside the workshop office in 1967 or 68. Am expecting John Dudley or Lauri Taggart to walk up the track.......

At least you had a tropic or hot weather kit issue. Ours was just take it or leave it. We did have desert issue shorts and sand slappers but they seldom saw light and even when there we had full combat clothing. No shorts issue for that.

It was the face that "gave it away".
People's faces may look older with the passage of time but they tend not to change shape/size.
