The commemorations here were a little more low key than normal because of Covid but still well attended. As usual, an early morning salute was fired from the lookout above our small town by the 25 Pounder from the local RSA. We remembered family who served in WW1 and WW2. One killed at Gallipoli during the assault on Chunuk Bair in 1915, my father-in-law in Italy, and my father in the Solomons and Egypt during WW2.
