This one was a challenge to find. They don't come up often and when they do they tend to be crushed or filled with holes. This one has plenty of dents and a been there done that look but the markings are clear and present, and it has no holes. Dated 1915.
It is on the large size as food containers go but no lid or handle although it has an attachment for one most likely to extend it over a fire. A lot of soot type material on the outside. If filled with stew or something similar it would make a nice meal with a couple of chunks of bread. Copper with lead solder repairs. If a lead bullet doesn't get you your mess tin will.
