M1 rifle and M1918 BAR magazine/cartridge belts
The BAR pockets for the magazines are much larger
There was some use in Viet Nam with M16
magazines as I have a combat photo

It takes some work to decipher the markings sometimes, you may have to turn it this way and that...all angles until you can put it together. I'd think earlier than 1960 though, maybe 1950...they made so many.

I think you have it bracketed. It's not a M1923 style belt --- no straps and snaps for the stripper clips. Buckle looks like brass rather than pot metal. And the date stamp is starting to look more like 195_ as stated above.
