REMINGTON M1903 as well as my A3
Local gun shop had a rifle off in the corner and it occurred to me that it was what I thought was a 1903A3, but it was in fact a 1903. Seemed to be in real good condition so I put it on layaway and picked it up yesterday.
I've had the 03A3 for several years now and posted a thread on it then.

I can't quite make out the barrel stamp. Is that a High Standard barrel?

Yes, I should have taken a better picture. Very good bore too.
A small bonus too, this was in the butt stock,

Nice, a nickeled oiler. Have a look and see, it may have contents too.

As you probably noted, the rifle has been overhauled, re-barreled, and refinished. But it's still a nice rifle. Thanks for sharing.
And Happy Holidays!

Yes, when I first looked at it, I noticed the H S barrel so I figured it was a rebuild, although there is no ordnance rebuild mark that I can see. My A3 has an "OD" stamp on the stock.
Am I correct in that the pinned stock is an A3 stock and the one with the cross bolts in a 1903 stock? I might swap them.
This is the old thread on the 03A3,

I thought the long one was for the Garand Jim as I have one the same with one end oil and dipper the other a pull thru.
