Palmetto State ran a special over the weekend I couldn't pass up. Watched a ton of videos and all but one pretty much loved the thing. The outlier seemed to have problems with everything. Everyone pretty much said the Russian ones are better, if you can find them and afford them but even there a couple said they preferred shooting this because it was heavier and had less recoil.

I didn't know I needed one but I ordered one. Supposed to be made by Norinco in China but they aren't marked as such.

Less than $300 after taxes and free delivery.

They ran a special on the AR platform also but figured the AK would be more reliable. Probably won't have it for several weeks.

Once you do get it let us have a look, maybe a short video of you running through a couple mags on the range? I'll bet the guys having trouble with them are using bargain ammo. I had a Derya Mk12 come past me here at one point and the woman selling it to me said it preferred GOOD ammo and oil...

Everyone said you need to take it apart and remove all the packing grease from it. Then it works best with high brass shells on number 2 or 3. I doubt the guy with the problems cleaned it. One guy ran 5000 rounds through it. Only problems he had were with a magazine that was broken yet he kept putting it in and the butt stock would work loose every 2000 rounds. Has an allen screw/bolt in there and he would just tighten it up. Said if he lock tite'd it it would stop doing it. He was using everything. It didn't want to cycle on low brass all the time but he wasn't changing the setting on it either. Gun Digest gave it a good review, 5 other people really liked it and one was a woman that liked the lower recoil over the Russian model. They all said the finish isn't the best, that they could have put a little more effort into polishing it but it didn't affect function.

I had to laugh at the guy that couldn't hit a can at short range. No one else was having any difficulty. If anything, he wasn't hitting it because he was too close to it. The 5000 round guy was rapid firing steel plates at 30 yards without missing. The 5000 round guy was tossing it around, throwing it into the dirt and a big puddle. The puddle did foul it up for four shots until he dumped all the water out of it. It fired but wouldn't cycle. He broke the charging handle on the 4990th shot.

I don't plan on tossing it around putting it in dirt or water so I think it'll hold up just fine.

Tomorrows the big day. Meeting Mike to pick it up. Going to check for 10 round mags at the show. It comes with two 5 round mags.

Not a bad looking shotgun when you get used to it. I'm not a big AK guy but I figured this would be more dependable than an AR shotgun and a lot less expensive. I don't see a lot of packing grease on it but I haven't had a chance to break it down yet either.

Looks about like expected, barrel's too long but I always think that. This one will probably work just fine for it's intended purpose. We shall see...

Even shotguns should have sights, note the guy that couldn't hit anything with it. But slugs would be my guess as well. I don't know the effective range of buckshot, never used it. Even slugs aren't that long range so the adjustable sight seems unnecessary.

That is just what they have on hand. Buck or slug is always questionable after short distance. Any really good groups with slug are achieved with special gear. Rifled choke, red dot, fully rifled barrels...so on.
