    Respect

Fitted a new Batt to the 1100 Super Blackbird in fact had to replace another one as well on the 1000RR Repsol @$299/Aud Ea I put the very best in them as you get what you pay for there was another type there for $150 and a very limited warranty so I passed on those ones.
On solo runs I frequent roads that are not travelled by cars a great deal with long straights and good corners, any of you that have ridden a high performance motorcycle will understand what that type of road does in regards to velocity!

The town of Boyup Brook is only a small place about the same as where we live probably 800-900 ppl in the actual town site proper, so it was important that I pay my respects at the Sandakan memorial erected by a WWII vet to honour those that never made it home from that travistery.
Like the U.S Bataan death march this too was along those lines as the war for Japanicon was not going well for their armed services there is a book about it called "Nippon sorry but men must die".

For all those poor souls that endured the un-endurable may you rest in peace and know you are not forgotten.

The monument with the soldier in negative/positive is really striking. It gives the plastic impression of someone who is missing but somehow still there... Very good interpretation!

Had one Uncle lost there, he did the scenic tour trip with F force on the Thai Burma railway, but died of the dogs diseases back in Bataan in 1943
Lost another one slaughtered in the Alexandra Hospital Massacre on Singapore.

    Thats pretty bad to learn.
Yes Muffett the Singapore debacle the 1936 promise of support should that place come under attack with the home country helping us!
I have David Days book on the Australianicon side, had a casual read of it I must read Masanobu Tsuji's book which I have "Singapore The Japaneseicon Version" might find some interesting information from the other side in there.
