    This stinks.

Stumbled on to this from what I have seen so far the ATF director is in the hot seat.
For those that this actually affects I suggest you follow it has more turns in it by the director than a snake wiggling across the road.(There are plenty of segments on you tube for you to look at & follow)
Apparently they have 466 pages of definitions what constitutes a person having to have a FFL to sell firearms for profit but they do not say how many along with what constitutes a profit margin!
As the chairperson said "Weaponised The Govt"

The upshot is the person had no criminal history was in charge of an airport with a salary of $260,000/Usd/Yr.
The ATF raided his home at 06:00, no knock entry, covered the front door camera, killed the power then broke down the door.
The result was occupant grabs gun to protect his family fires warning shots at their feet an officer gets hit by a ricochet the ATF then put a round into his head as his wife was by his side.

This director needs to go in fact if you follow it it seems to me to be an abuse of power even when confronted with evidence they have a gun registry that is searchable by ppl yet he denies it, even when confronted with the figures.
    Too much power.

Badger I think this needs to be followed as this affects a whole lot of ppl in the US and appears that the ATF is challenging the 2nd amendment.

If not within guidelines delete the post.

42rocker - In a further tape on it the ATF Director states 11,000 search warrants executed yearly.

He further stated they did not have body camera's on as that section/area was slated to get it but the Director said they were not able to get them due to budget constraints.

The chairperson said your yearly budget is $1.625 Billion dollars and you could not find $43 million to equip that department when it is in-fact legislated you have to wear body cameras on arrest or search warrants.

Again the slippery eel of a ATF Director squirmed around all the questions with no tangible replies, all the while the victims widow sat in the gallery not 2 rows behind the slippery eel Director.

It's pretty gripping really perhaps this is what's going to happen here with the new Firearms Act.

All these agencies only have authority from the administration they are under. This is getting more common; they are doing these ridiculous raids for all sorts of things including protesting outside abortion clinics on the sidewalks.

First, they shouldn't be even happening. No laws are being broken.

Second, these individuals are not criminals, just average citizens so if there is any question, it should be a couple of agents, knocking on the door at normal business hours in broad daylight.

Third, after an interview, they officers should go on their way and be done with it realizing that no crime has been committed.

But NOT HAPPENING. Ministers are being convicted and sentenced to years in prison for protesting on public sidewalks. Gun owners are being murdered in their homes. This is history repeating itself and we are not used to it here. It isn't being publicized, however. I wasn't even aware of this particular incident until I saw this post and I'm constantly following political news from multiple sources. I expect I'll hear about it now as this testimony has become public. But it won't be from the major news outlets, they simply don't report it.

I did a bit of investigating and this fellow was selling guns illegally by laws I'm familiar with. It still does not justify the raid or the shooting, should have been a knock at the door during normal times.

He bought and resold guns as a "hobby" on the weekends without a FFL or doing background checks on the individuals he was selling to. So, he was in this for profit which fits the definition of a firearms dealer. These were not old firearms either, not old hunting guns or military surplus collectibles, they were mostly handguns, Glocks, Berettas and FR-16 pistols, whatever they are. Many multiples of the same model.

So he wasn't a collector replacing his collection or selling off unwanted guns, he was filling out the forms stating the firearm was for his use and then turning around and reselling it. Half a dozen of these guns were recovered from criminals although none were used in a crime.

It's a mixed bag, these laws are vague, the government is claiming the this is an example of "gun show loophole" but there is no loophole, he was breaking the law. He was purposely selling guns for profit which requires him to have a license and conduct background checks. This has basically been public knowledge and in place since the Obama administration. Biden simply made it even more restrictive and vague. Now anyone selling a firearm could be considered to be doing it for profit, you are considered guilty until proven innocent.

They planned to execute the search a week earlier, but called it off when they learned Malinowski wasn't home. Why did that matter, unless he was the "target?' That he was dead on the floor less than a minute after they taped his doorbell camera makes it sound like they came spoiling for a gunfight. They cut off electricity and phone lines. They jammed cell signals. They set up the confrontation, either trough ineptitude or design. They had GPS trackers on his car, they had agents tailing him for months. Seems like they wanted "someone" to make an example of. How far up the chain does it go?

Here's the thing: if you are involved in an activity generally expected for Conservative minded people to enjoy, Biden's Sturm Abtelung will put their jackboots on your neck so fast your head will spin at the slightest hint of straying from the simultaneously rigorous and incomprehensible regulations passed by Democrat apparatchiks.

Well, we fell off the ledge once again. Forum rules forbid political discussions. You know it. Don't underestimate the power of staff fatigue.
