Looks like 2 Johnsons, a LMG and a rifle. Look at the cocking handle and ventilated handguard. Definitely not a Garand
.

Both a Johnson's . 1941 rifle and LMG. Could be a publicity photo to promote the Johnson.
once read an article about firearms that you can reload the magazine with five round stripper clips , when the magazine is still on the weapon - came from a German
report on the use of the G-41 rifle in combat.
They (Germans) stated that during the heat of combat, most of the time only one five round clip was inserted, as the user wanted to continue firing. This of course lower the efficiency of the weapon.

Correct. I had the rifle for some time. Never wanted the LMG and just needed the rifle for collection. When I had both M1
and Johnston, it was easy to see why the Johnston was of less regard. I gave a demonstration of both to my Reconnaissance platoon once and they chose the M1 hands down. One young man said of the Johnston..."Too many parts and too complicated".

Not much of a photo

First Special Service Force men outside Anzio with a 60mm mortar and a “Johnny Gun.”

He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.
