I'd love to try one of those out. Imagine how much it would cost just for one clip of ten rounds...or is this one in .30 cal?

.276
Frankford made two lots of .276 for the Pederson vs. Garand
tests... the Pederson was lubricated with wax and marked LUBRICATED on the box.
Real men measure once and cut.

Thought so. Probably cost me a mortgage payment to just squeeze a full clip off. I've watched the videos of it firing though, from waaaay back. Looks just about perfect in trials.

7,62 NATO and some forgotten cartridges
My photo shows the 7,62 NATO, 280/30 and 276
Note the body taper on the 276 cartridge, perfect for feeding from magazines or belts,
would still be an excellent cartridge today with proper loading/bullet and weapon

that old 276 would never shoot if at all these days. I think back in the 1980's or so, there were two magazines : the Handloader and the Rifleman magazine. They took a Ruger bolt action Model 77
and a custom barrel chambered for the 276 Pedersen (custom reamer). Rather than attempt to form new cartridge cases to really test for accuracy, they used the old 1929 276 Pedersen cartridges.
The test was done with issues concerning accuracy & mis-fires and a poor evaluation of the cartridge in a modern rifle
