Mix of everything, M1s, an M14icon and a 1903A3 down there...

Am I correct in assuming these are demilled, non-functional rifles made to look very pretty? Even still a bayonet on a 9 pound stick can still issue a lot of hurt.
Any significance to the weapon each particular branch is holding as in 03 vs M1 vs M14icon?

I'm thinking these are honor guard rifles, like drill team rifles. Those are unserviceable and missing parts.

Sentinel rifles are functional and side arms are loaded - Diner down the road is run by a former sentinel He told me that in the 80's his rifle was loaded - not sure if it was at the tomb of providing security for POTUS.

And...he'd never stretch the truth... You can SEE the tomb sentries' rifles aren't loaded. No mags. Anyway, the ones in the first pic are honor guard, right? I did tons of that and never had ammo.

Are those three girlies doing sentinel?
