If you ever make it to Boise, Idaho...
Besides saying hi to me, you really need to stop by the Old Idaho State Penitentiary and see the J. Curtis Earl Memorial Exhibit. Curtis Earl had one of the largest private collections of military weapons in the world, from knives to fighter jets and when he died about 8 years ago, he left it all to the Idaho State Historical Society.
I've been to the museum a few times, most recently this past weekend. There are two absolutely beautiful examples of M1903 rifles there, a low SN Springfield and a Smith Corona A3, along with all of the gear that the GIs used with them. There are also a couple of gorgeous M1s and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
So if you happen to be passing through, you owe it to yourself to take a look. It's probably the best five bucks that you'll spend that day.

I agree 100% with Hardcase. It is a great exhibit.
The local full-auto gun club I belong to has access to the C.E. collection and sets up some of his collection in their display at the local shows.
Hardcase, We must have run into each other at one of the local gun shows. If you went to the last Boise show I had a display of 1903 Remingtons in the M1920 Barracks rack.
