Need help with Remington 03A3 buttplate identification

I received what was listed as a USGI Remington 1903A3 buttplate. It is different in many ways from the other four that I have. Was there a post war USGI contract for buttplates? Are there current reproductions?

Here are the major differences between the one I just received and the others I have:
1. There is no R stamped on the back side.
2. The shape of the checkering is different at the top and bottom. The originals have a slight curve to the pattern, the new one is straight across.
3. The individual check squares on the original are slightly sloped on the sides where the squares on the new one are not.
4. The trap is very different. The part where it pivots is flat across the top where the originals are rounded.
5. The indentation line on the new trap shows marks from the stamping device.
6. The trap opening is somewhat lopsided - noticable when opened.

I have no record of post war contracts for A3 buttplates. I gave John Beard a WWII replacement contract for A3 buttplates. I do not recall the maker. John and Larry Byrd have the company name.

The buttplate was made by the Adell Mfg. Co. as a spare replacement for use in overhaul. The buttplate was not made by Remington.

Just a little trivia:

Adell was located in Orange, Mass. and after the war produced Garand Follower Rods in 1953. During WWII Adell also produced Selector Switches for the M2 Carbine.
