Ok, so if I haven't mentioned it, I am a father (again). I have been on vacation for two weeks since having my newborn daughter and have not been able to get to the range despite having planned to do...
Sorry, The op rod/piston that screws into the bolt carrier is wobbly. Not the cylinder. Seems like it should be OK, but I may disassemble it and see if it can be inserted m ore and if this will...
Sorry to keep you all in suspense (or lack therof).
I measured the OD of the piston head and it is 0.625, so should be in spec. I measured the front of the piston, behind it seems slightly larger at...
I don't recall any hiccups in the action. slides smoothly enough that I have dumped it all out the back end a couple times while disassembling, etc. It has all the springs that came with it in the...
Yes, I headspaced the gun using a new locking block. This is why the gun fires without case head separations. I am now working on the cycling issue. I will continue to update when I can get to it...

Anyone have a source on 308 locking shoulders? I will have to measure mine. I know 303 guns have various sizes, but it seemed at a quick glance that 308 guns were not the same. Basically the ones I...
I guess this is my fault for not including more pictures initially. The barrel is as described. original UK, Enfield manufacture.
I was wrong. Never should have trusted my memory. It is in fact a...
It is NOT a sarco barrel. It is an original UK 7.62x51 which if I'm understanding correctly may still close on 308 no go without issue. It wont close on the 7.62x51 max gauge.
Sorry for the delay. Very busy. I appreciate all the help and will try to get back to your help as soon as possible.
As far as I am aware it is all original military. Barrel is marked Enfield. All...
Greetings to you all.
I have contacted some of you privately trying to gather some of your expert opinion and unfortunately I am still looking for answers. I have an L4A4 bren which since acquiring...
