You need a photobucket account to host the pictures. They are rare but I know a few people up here who own them. Idiots at the CFC probably created a new FRT number! There is real lack of...
I was referring to the one above it.
But yeah, that 1916 Gew can shoot!
Okay, well I shot 5 sounds through it quickly just to try it out and it's pleasant to shoot and hits where I'm aiming so I'm happy.
I have a minty one in Canada too, but mines from that other factory!
Nice rifles. I'm guessing that that '41 K98 has a VZ24 bolt in it. If it's RC and the serial number matches it's because they were force matched by the Russians. So yeah, it's the correct bolt for...
Very interesting.
Haven't shot it yet. I think the Model 1950 should have a straight bolt, do your serial numbers match?
If it's already bubba'd beyond restoration, why not?
Interesting, I've never heard of it before.
FN made an identical one for Colombia but it was chambered in 7mm Mauser. Colombia later converted them to 30-06. Both of these carbines are very neat little rifles. You pretty much stole that...
Sorry it took so long to get these posted. I tried to take some pics of features that are unique to the FN M1950 Short Rifle AFAIK. The butt plate for example is very distinct and the cleaning rod is...
LMAO!
Marstar Canada Used Guns: Rifles (Non-Restricted)
It looks like many of them have been refurbished in Austria. I wonder where they found these? Here are some interesting ones that have already...
Thanks Frank. Interesting cartouche on the buttstock, is that a Colombian marking? I just purchased a Model 1950 and will share some pics when I receive it.
Cool, if the powers that be want it in the Lee Enfield forum then that's fine. I wasn't sure where the correct forum was, anyway it clearly could go in either forum, but I still say it's more correct...
I don't know of any dealers that have RC's at the moment. There must still be thousands in Russia, maybe someone needs to import a new batch. Who brought the other ones into Canada?
There seems to be already some P14 discussion in this forum, but it is a distinct rifle and the title should officially reflect that, IMHO. It did afterall come before the M1917 was conceived.

I wonder if any will make it up north?
Thread coolness 10/10.

*Neither rifle is mine, just trying to help a brother out.*
That's not too encouraging. Anyone else have any experience with these? I figured they would be really good quality (if found in decent condition) because they were made by FN. The Model 1950...
I'm looking for some info and advice about Colombian FN Mausers in 30-06. From what I've read some were converted and others were made in this calibre. Any info appreciated, quality, accuracy etc....
