The screws will not turn, it looks like pins are driven down thru the ears and in the screws.
Any one ever removed the sight ladder? The original rear sight was filed down to make a v notch and...
Will a C No 7 with the feed ramp work in A British No 7 . would make it easier to load as I do not have the 5 shot 22 magazine for the British No 7.

Try British Tools & Fasteners They are in New York, 315-946-9400. That were I purchased the 4Ba screws for the ejector on my No 7 rifle. They have a web page.

JA barrels were not dated. WWII replacement barrels.
Thank you again, the catch I have is for a SMLE. Now to find out why the bolt will not cock when installed in a new Enfield made forearm. work fine when not in the forearm.

Thank you fro your response. Turns out all the sears I have are for the NO.4 . Went to a small local show Saturday and found a SMLE sear.
Now if I may ask how to tell the difference between...
