I don't think that many of the commercial safes will stop a seasoned pro. What I count on mine for is the foiling the teenager or junkie with a pillow case who might be in the house for five minutes.
I hiked the Kall trail a few years back. It was the main effort crossing the steep valley between Vossenack and Scheidt. Narrow 15' wide, steep with a dropoff on the side. I could never imagine...

Bummer. I could see if they were handguns that they could be sold on the black market. I don't understand how the meth-head gets rid of those.
I have fired over nearly 4000 rounds of 5,45x39 1970s Russian thru an AK I have. All of it has been corrosive. I clean with straight Ballistol and have never had corrosion issues. Many black...
They seem to be attached around the stock wrist.
I thought they were just south of Cleveland. Skip, Whats their stuff look like.
I'm seeing M1As at several sites from this builder. Anyone ever look over one of their M1As They advertise Criterion chrome line barrels, GI parts and forged receiver for about $2K.
There is no such thing as a dumb question so here is mine: What is a knox form?
Whats the size of the aiming black?
Ballistol is my favorite for corrosive cleaning. I shot a ton of corrosive Russian ammo in an AK I had. As long as I cleaned with Ballistol I never saw any corrosion and I live in a humid area.
I've got a WWII butt plate on it now but this piece has been sitting on my shelf so I thought well heck I can take the rifle to the range and fire with some history.
On the Great War Forum they say:

My rifle is a 42 Lithgow and I have mounted a like new walnut stock I bought from the net. I have this Somme dug butt plate and I'm thinking of cleaning the brass, removing the rusty screws and...
We have just started shooting the SMLE and only have been loading 3-4 rounds. Most of the failures to feed were next to or last one. Is there an experiment to try?
I'm using Sellier and Bellot in a WWII Lithgow. Sometimes they just seem to jamb and don't lift up out of the mag pointed toward the breech. I'm hoping its a bullet shape problem. Anyone else have...
Very Nice, I noticed it on ebay. . Also interested to see the comments. What did they normally stamp on them? FTR? Unit?
The Collector Grade Book "Desperate Measures" about the end of WWII speaks quite a bit about them as one of the major arms of the Volksstrum.
I'm looking for plates for a like new Jovino stock. Anyone know a source. I have searched the net and checked the usual firms like Springfield Sporters and Gun-Parts.com. As a back up, I'll try to...
SA standard .45 Millet fixed sights were installed about 15 years ago, On saturday at the range the tendon cracked and the front sight flew off to be lost forever in the grass. Brownells has a...
Mold Maker, Not to mention the environmental laws the Chinese won't have to meet.
I don't believe the BS that the factories are running full tilt trying to catch up with demand. If that were true we would see, from time to time, big orders arrive at the major suppliers even if...
IMI brass, light loads 55gr at 2800. I'm using an X-die so no evidence of trim need yet. I just loaded the fifth time. Would you guys toss the brass after this firing?
Why don't you buy some of the Lubricant/cleaner the Germans used? Ballistol.
