Yes, that's it. Emblem of the Emirate of Afghanistan
Came across these photos elsewhere and they piqued my interests. The crest on the wrist and knox look familiar but I can't place it. Don't recall ever seeing BSA mark the wrist B.S.A. Co Ltd.

Haven't been to shoot yet, need to get a mag first. Everything looks solid though. Rifling is crisp, all the springs are in good shape, chambers a dummy round. I've got a gunsmith friend who said...
Picked up this pretty beat up 1911 DWM. Looks like what you'd expect a German military P08 to look like until you consider it's got features a 1911 gun shouldn't (as far as I'm aware) Now I'm not a...
A friend of mine just picked up this 1916 dated Mauser 98 at a show and we were curious about the marking on this stock disc. The gun itself is very worn and virtually nothing matches, so I'm...
Beautiful rifle! That's really something special. I would imagine an incredible few of those rifles survived in completely original condition like that.
Well, hey, only about 7200 rifles apart. They may have been produced in the same week
Oh I have no intention of changing it regardless. I was just curious. It's a very serviceable rifle, the barrel's been shot within an inch of it's life but she still does about 3 MOA, so I can't...
It's definitely a Soviet NBC parka. Most likely an OP-1 or OZK. They can be had from most of the usual surplus outlets
Excellent work! If you don't mind me asking, what methods do you employ in fixing cracks like that? (as an amateur woodworker I'm always interested in others techniques)
You folks may or may not remember a couple years ago I (in a state of ignorance) bought a CIA M1 Garand. Luckily I was able to trade it away for an NPM M1 Carbine. In any event I've now got my hands...
I haven't shot any serious groups with it yet, mostly just take her out to stretch her legs. I'm planning on getting out to the range next week, so I'll report back with groupings then.
It takes very little effort. No more than a few pounds of pressure in my estimation.
Picked up this Eddystone not too long ago for a very reasonable $400. Dates out as an October 1918 gun wearing a 9-18 barrel and appears to be about 99% matching, with the only discernibly...
I just bought one recently for $75 if that helps at all. Seen 'em go for over $125 though. I would think with the oiler you could easily get $100 for one.
My other theory being that if the rifle was indeed captured by the Germans (assuming it got to the front before May) at this point in the war I don't think the Germans would be stamping captured...
The SS runes are very suspect. Also considering the rifle was produced in 1945, I find it unlikely that it even made it to the front by the end of the war, let alone was captured by the Germans.
Remington did indeed make M91 (not 91/30s) rifles on a contract for the Russian government. New Westinghouse made some as well. However, due to the Russian revolution, many of the rifles never made...
^agreed. It's most definitely M56 web gear they're donning.
iirc the forestocks they have though are all Indian 2a1 forestocks, and are not necessarily in shootable condition
Here's a couple pics of mine.

My '43 Savage
Nice Savage. I have a '43 with an "ishy screw", no import stamp, and FR stamped on the buttstock (although in a different font). There seems to be some slight controversy about whether the "FR"...
Wow, congratulations! Those Swede Mausers sure are sweet shooters.
iirc, they were worn by officers.
