Hi Charlie,
I went through some back issues and found a couple of things.
"CC 12-2" addresses the "milled" cut behind the sight.
IBM always used the "I" cut key slot and the saw cut was added...
Here's my late NPM 4,299,xxx. IBM barrel. It's got the punch mark.
