it doesn't sound like it is, but pictures would sure help.
thanks for sharing this page with us (and the heads up on the virus, ha).
nice guns! i just picked up a Carl Gustaf 1915 myself. haven't had a chance to take it out and stretch its legs yet though.

yeah. if it were the original there's no way i'd change it out, but it's not and i don't expect to add to the value of the rifle, but i thought it'd be nice to have a closer representation of what...
haha. it's too bad we can't all agree on a standard unit of measurement.
i thought so, haha. thanks for all the information you guys are giving me. this has been a fun project so far.
i'll give a full range report in a couple of days. :D
i was looking around on gunbroker and saw a mismatched "original kriegsmodell k98" that was going for $1299.99 starting bid... if that's the...
haha i was just getting ready to say that and post the same pic. great minds think alike. at least i got closer with that stock in appearance.
i did some research and the dou.45 had a "semi-kriegsmodell" stock. the factory mine is from never went to the full kriegsmodell version that didn't have the bolt takedown and stuff.
i know i just refinished this stock, but then stumbled across this one which makes my kriegsmodell more historically accurate, and it was a good deal, so i went ahead and picked it up.
looks like...

just got home from getting the supplies. I'm taking apart the rifle right now and when I finish this afternoon I'll throw more pics up.
i'll give that a shot and see how it turns out. i think instead of BLO i'm gonna go with the Howard's and see how that works.
i just placed an order for a new cleaning rod and sight hood that should be showing up next week, and i think i might strip that rifle down tomorrow and see about stripping the shellac off the way...
i've been searching online all afternoon for a late model kriegsmodell stock to buy but i haven't found much. anyone know of good places to look for the furniture?
cool. i appreciate the advice since i'm new to the enfield fan club. i bought a super nice 1917 Enfield-made R.S.A.F. no1 mkIII* that i kinda fell in love with, and then i came across this one and...
here are some crappy phone pictures. sorry for the amazing quality of these.

ok, it's a 1949 Longbranch no 4 mk1* and even though the tag said $450 when i asked him how much it cost he told me $350. the bore looks to be in fantastic shape, and all the parts are matching and...
here are more pics from the breakdown. by the way, the letter under the serial number is "e" and the number under the eagle is WaA80.

the bore is in really good condition. it was dirty, but very minimal pitting (if any really) and when i saw it i just kinda knew i needed to buy it. i'll take some more pics and throw them up soon.
...
right on. i appreciate the heads up. like i said, i'm going back (probably tomorrow) to get another look and snag a few pics.
My name is Tony and i'm from Wichita, Kansas.
I only recently got into shooting (in the last year or so) and my first gun was a Russian m44 Mosin Nagant Carbine. It turned out to be so fun and...
i was heading home to visit family and saw a pawnshop i never knew existed and went inside to take a quick look at the guns they were advertising on the sign. they had what appeared to be a super...
yeah, those mosins were sighted in with the bayo's attached. crazy mofo's for sure, but it definitely helps pull your shots tighter. if you have one you should try it once.
