See a USMC Remington 40x on GB. Looks like the receiver is D&Ted. Did Remington D&T the USMC contract rifles or is this something done by Bubba?

Whose making the best M14/M1A out there? Starting to look into one and am curious what or who people like.
My No-Go (Field) is mil-spec 0.074, so no mistake there. Now to find out what the current bolt-head measures.
Thanks guys. Alan, I'll have to measure and get back to you.
A couple of my No. 4s failed the No-Go(field) gauge and I'm hoping that getting new(er) bolt heads will keep them going. Anyone have any sources for bolt heads? Maybe e-Pay is the only way to go...
How cool is it to have a guy like Peter Laidler on the boards? Yeah, THAT cool.
Whoa, wait a minute. You mean I have to take apart the bolt head assembly and remove the extractor in order to use some of these headspace gauges? :move eek: I can see that you don't have to do...
Edward -- Do you know the manufacturer of those gauges? I'm really surprised at what appears to be a very limited number of manufacturers. Your gauges look nice to boot.
Need to buy a set of Go/No-Go gauges for my LEs and would appreciate recommendations. Midway has product by Forster and PTG -- anyone familiar with these? Is there something better?
Anyone out there do any reloading for their L42A1? There isn't a lot that I've been able to find except the standard "just use the .308 Winchester specs." I kinda expected as much, but thought I'd...
My holy grail  Enfield (of right now -- yeah, it morphs on occasion) is a No. 7 of the British make. Anyone who's interested in helping a knight along on his quest should PM me.
Any opinions on the Stevens Model 416? I found one of the US Property models with a Redfield peep sight. Nice looking but I have a couple questions: (1) Did the military trainer come with a...
I have a SA Garand with a Winchester barrel bearing the same stamp -- same month and year, too. Cool to see and hear of another one that underwent repair at the same location and time as my own. I...
So, legit, suspect, or bogus?

I'm thinking of expanding my collection to include a Springfield 1922, 1922M1, or M2. I'm curious what the folks on this forum think of these various models. Which one is the "best?" I understand...
Yeah, that's kinda what I thought the response would be.:crying:

Anyone know where you can get replacement .22 magazines for the No. 7 (British)? You know, the little mag that was inserted/welded into the regular mag.

How much?
Curious what others think of this. The description is bare-bones to nonexistent and you can't read any serial numbers very well in the photos.

When discussing the No.4 Mk I(T), Skennerton states that "[t]he rifle serial numbers should not appear on the telescope or mounts on the British rifle, although the Canadian No. 4 equipments have the...
Wow! I hope it's not the ammo -- just ordered a bunch from CMP two weeks ago. Glad your son is alright.
Upon learning that my mag should work, I found the problem. The locking lugs on the back of the mag were a hair too long to allow the mag catch to close. Solved the problem by giving the lugs a few...
to "white" their serial numbers, heat lot numbers, etc., for ease of viewing. I thought it might be chaulk, but it clearly isn't because the chaulk I used brushed right off with minimal contact. So...
