I was lucky to find it. However, the damage done to the end of the butt stock is unbelievable.

Cinders - I am sorry to hear that - these are great rifles but that’s alot of money. Will post range pics but I am looking for some GP11 for a decent price.
Singer B - it is pretty bad - the...
Thank you. I didn't know about Edelweiss Arms.
I know these have been around for awhile but they haven’t really been on my radar for some reason. Then I started looking at videos and reading about the K31 and decided I needed one for my...
Thank you for the replies! There are a few of these for sale on Gunbroker. Some claimed genuine and one that is made up from parts.
Wow, 231 views and only one reply? I guess most of you are like me and have never seen one in the flesh. With only 3500 produced, I wonder how many survived?
Thanks for responding and confirming that the pouch is genuine Jim. Dang things are hard to find in any condition. The machinegunboards example is a beauty!
I believe it to be genuine but in poor condition. However, I have only seen photos of these and would like some other opinions. I got it because it was cheap and, if real, rare. It is missing the...
Thank you Mr. Baker!
Got this awhile back and it was relatively inexpensive compared to the price of these at auction lately. It wasnt cheap by any means but I figured with the rarity it was worth acquiring in case I...
Put some Lubriplate No. 105 Grease on the tracks, etc and it is better. Might use some jewelers rouge with 3 in 1 to smooth it out a little more. Thanks!
I appreciate the replies. I have cleaned the mortise slot again and the bayo still sticks. The inside "floor" of the mortise slot just does not look right to me but I don't have another one of...
Jim, Cross piece or quillion looks pretty straight to me. The hang up seems to be in the mortise slot.
And Gill, that is a pretty well thought out bayo and scabbard!
Cheapest one that I have seen lately was $195. I should have bought it.
Thanks Gil, a soaking with Kroil did the trick and the release button is free. Unfortunately, I had to use the nylon hammer to get it back off while pushing in the button.
Please excuse my...
Found my nylon hammer. Not exactly expedient for a battle rifle. And the release button will not depress at all.

Thank you for the replies.
Gil - i did clean the hole/slot out. The bayo did not come with the rifle but is a 1909 manufacture like the rifle. Also US marked.
Jim - the back of the bayo has...
Got a bayonet to go with my newly acquired Mk II 3* but it will not fit all the way in. There is a 1/8-inch or so gap At the muzzle and at the bayo lug. Nothing is in the bayo slot although the...
Thank you for replying Jim and Boltaction! I did try some stuff called Go-Juice that is thicker than most of the synthetic biosynthetic, etc. lubricants out there. Bolt is still harder to cycle...
I have been looking at Ross rifles at gun shows and online for years. I really liked the 1905 so under the "life is too short snd getting shorter all the time" category, I got this one and it checks...
This has been my experience with H&H as well. Some of the old firms are great about these types of inquiries - Rigby, Watson Bros, Westley Richards but H&H isn't one of them. i suspect there are...
Thanks Jim. With this bracket plate, looks like it will fit models with a volley rear sight like the Long Lees? It also has an adjustable aperture. Do you think these things were used in combat or...
I am not sure where I got this sight but I looked it up online and it looks to be for an Enfield? Could someone please tell me what model? Other than the Parker stamp on the sight and the base...
Just picked it up yesterday. Overall in great shape. There is either some surface rust or cosmoline on the receiver - no pits that I can see. Parked finish looks pretty good otherwise. Stock may...
No 6-shot clips are available for the M1917 that I've ever heard of. And having never shot a vintage match, I was wrong about needing clips though most of it. It pays to actually read about...
