Sounds like my wife.
That receiver has more cavities than Swiss cheese. Looks like it was made out of a sponge.
A very rare and highly sought after SG/Inland. Only one was manufactured.
The Wolverine was marketed at one time by Olympic Arms.
If they we on our side of the ocean me and painter might take a few.
Mania…..and it’s a great little gun too!
My partner in crime 03man and I did monkey around with converting a 30-caliber to pump. It was a complete failure. The issue was sticky brass and the mechanics of rotating and retracting the bolt. I...
I have some experience with this style extractor used in Iver Johnson 9mm carbines as well. Keeping the claw clean is a must and I had some improvement by grinding the claw a bit deeper with a Dremel...
Nice looking clean carbine. I third the motion.
I think the 5.7 x 28 might be a good round for the carbine. Pressure is not too excessive at around 50,000psi and cartridge OAL is not too long to fit the action. One would have to secure a 22 barrel...
Any blow-back is going to be heavier than an M1 carbine, even a trimmed-down AR9. I have a trimmed-down AR9 that weighs in a tad over 6-pounds, but you can still feel the difference.
I have other pistol caliber carbines and like them all. The converted M1 carbine brings along with it gas operation just like big brother. Don’t have the extra weight of the mass required to safely...
Not much to it really and no valuable USGI parts are damaged in the process. Screw on a $135 conversion USGI barrel, open a bolt face to accept the 9mm rim, modify the piston and nut….that’s it. It...
Grab or modify a M1 carbine in 9mm and shoot off the shelf 9mm Luger for 25-cents a round. Just as much fun and much less expensive. Ammo is everywhere.
I simply refuse to pay $1 a round for...
I don’t think anyone responded to this, but trimming them to 1.290 might be asking for trouble if your head space is close to 1.290?
If you have a tight chamber, anything could happen preventing...
Strength of the load also affects ejection placement. Depending on what load I shoot (as in both projectile profile and powder charge),strong stuff over my head and right shoulder at 5 o-clock....
Had a similar situation with my bride some years ago. Glad things seem to be working out.
Maybe they were just meant to keep an oiler with a stock during shipment?
I realize this is an ancient thread, but things have been slow over here for a while. Since Tokarev has been brought up, I will mention that I have converted a carbine to 7.62x25. Not much to it and...
If the receiver and some of what’s inside are any good, $650 might not be a bad buy. Been watching the prices of barreled actions or good receivers lately? Nope….I am not the winner, or bidder for...
After I size, I hit the mouth with a 19/64 drill bit, but anything close to .300 works. It has to be cleaned up a tad before it can be flared or the flaring die might hang-up on the mouth edge. I...
Nothing to it. The TOK sizing die easily creates the shoulder. I use .223, 5.56 and 300AAC brass.
If one has some old parts lying around, a “just because” fun conversion is 7.62 x 25. You won’t gain any performance or accuracy from it, but you can form your own brass easily enough and shoot...
I think if you have the right magazine, such as a single-stack, they will feed. I shoot Mauser bullets at OAL’s down at that length. Never have been moved to purchase the screwdriver bits.
Barrel band looks like a salvage job, or the inspector was sick that day. Some commercial bands have a hole on top of the band. That might be a modified type III or commercial.
