After a bit of work I was able to make enough ammo to actually enjoy my VZ-52. This gun has a very nice bore and shoots perfectly with the "new" ammo. The ammo was made from PPU 7.62x39 blanks.
Yeah, I agree. I may request a letter on this one.
It shoots so well. Recoils like a .22 with .38 Special loads.
I'd like to think the finish was blasted off by sandstorms in the desert of N....
British .357 Magnum proof mark on the barrel. How freaking cool is that?
Bore is minty. Action locks up tight as a bank vault.

So I won this in an auction lot with some other stuff and now I think it might be cool enough to keep rather than just sell.
It's a Colt New Service 357 mfg in 1939 with British proof marks.
I know...
Loaded up some ammo for the new barrel today. Being a frugal fellow I worked up a load utilizing some free'ish Remington 185gr Core-Lokt bullets I had lying around. Ended up at 46.5gr of IMR 4064 lit...
Got a FN49 as a gift from the wife. It had badly worn barrel and the chamber was so loose the brass was all being destroyed. Found a new/surplus barrel from SARCO. Ordered headspace gauges from...
So with either gun you are basically skipping .308 Diameter bullets down the barrel. That is why I went with the .312 Diameter bullets. You might try casting and sizing some .311 lead bullets.
Have you tried the load I did? 4.3gr Ramshot Silhouette with 85gr Hornady JHP .312 Diameter
My barrel slugged at .311. What is yours?
Ammo for the 1935A has been scarce for many years. The original steel cased, non reloadable ammo was hard to find and what you could find was usually just expensive duds. Up to now shooting this...
No, it isn't. Know to be in the USA since the early 50's. Purchased from the estate of the man that owned it for ~70 years.
This one has a nicer looking finish, obviously re-finished. I'm not sure what to think about the grips, hand made or thrown on to appeal to the consumer perhaps? The double action sear was snapped in...
Anyone seen a Webley marked like this before? I'm assuming it is an old import/export mark of sorts. The stamping is visible inside the barrel, which is otherwise absolutely perfect. It is a bit...
My light .455 load is Starline brass a 250gr bullet over 4.4Gr HP38/W231.
1.270" OAL
Crimp as with any revolver round.
3.6Gr of N320 is about the same
I see nothing. Bubba sanded it REAL GOOOOD
Awesome, thanks for the link to that document!
Yeah, I already have a bunch. Including a K31 and a Steyr . . . among others.

I picked up a sporterized MKII 3* in .303 Brit at a local gun show this last weekend. No serial number is visible on the rifle. Stock has been sanded to the point nothing readable is visible. There...
