Mr. Foley's book is a great addition to anyone's library. I enjoyed the text and really loved the contemporary pictures he drew.

Those seem to be fresh M1s - the black on the gas cylinders hasn't worn off yet.

Interesting that the patches survived the censors, many pictures unit identification wiped out.

I've been seeing the same price on the CMP For Sale forums.

I assume short lived because they looked too much like German paratroopers. Or what it because getting replacement fatigues was too hard in terms of the supply sysytem of the time?

The SR-1 is the 200 yard target reduced to 100 yards. I looked at the ALCO Target Company website and it says SR-1 is 200 reduced to 100, SR-21 is 300 reduced to 100, MR-31 is 600 reduced to 100.

As long as the VAR barrel is the same as a USGI contour barrel then it is legal.
