1944 is WAY WAY pass trials rifle. The Trials I've are like from 1931. The No4 was adopted in 1939.
Most have been cut up and thrown into the ocean. The survivors are rare and most in museums.
Actually that was the M1C. The M1D didn't truly show up till after the Korean War. The biggest main difference with the M81 and M82 scopes is the M81 has a fine crosshair and the M82 has a thick post...
The M82/M84 scopes were used as replacements if the standard M73B1 were exhausted during postwar rebuilds.
Nah. Good thing I did pay too much, but would be too expensive to send it back. I'll keep it anyway since I needed something to protect my real No32 MKIII scope.
I was pretty when you mention the...
Thanks for the insight, guys. I knew it was too true to be a real deal. The price was almost the price of a reproduction and came from France. It's not bad except the rear locking screw is a little...
Hi,
I just purchased a Case Stg Tel No 8 with squared corners. Here's a few of the things that concerns me: OS906A is not stamped on the case, the "o" on No8 is not underlined, and B&Co is stamped...
Wouldn't it be easier to just use 7/8" to 1" shims?
I purchased one too. Mounting it on my No4T right now and the finish and fitting is perfect. thanks Rob
How did you get your lens cap to look brownish like that? the one I got from Moore Leather looks almost pale white. Trying to darken it up.
thanks for the advise. inspected the shafts and it all looks good. gave me a good scare today because i thought some former lazy owner didn't want to keep removing the scope and welted the...
Oh crap!!! that actually WORKED!!! thanks man
It's the thumbscrews (both front and back). Both are stuck on to the mounting pads pretty good. Can't see any rust on them so i have no idea what is holding them so tight.
HELP!!! I just picked up my No4 Mk1 T sniper and I found that the quick detach scope mount is stuck. IS there any way that I can remove it without damaging it?
thanks
thanks for the help guys
just PMed you.
Nice. I wish it was that easy for me. the No4 T i got had the whole rear sight missing. not even the pins or spring remains. is there a specific look to the sight in the grounded area like should it...
yea that's kinda what i'm planning to do if there's no where to get one. another question: were there anything difference from the sniper sights and the regular sights like special makers, markings...
does anyone know where to find or a source for a No. 4 mk1 leaf sight but with the battle sights grounded off?
thanks
