Trying to determine what size primer to get for reloading some Remington M1 Carbine. Also looking for a place to buy the primers. Thanks
It does seem like the thrill would wear off pretty quick and I wouldn't be able to hit anything..... from watching youtube videos. I guess I'll stick with my M1 carbine and be happy with that.
I've really enjoyed my M1 carbine since I bought it 2 years ago but I sometimes think what it would be like to shoot the Select Fire M2 carbine. I've watched quite a few videos on youtube, not sure...
He has another video on there hitting a steel plate at 200 yards with a 1911 .45
This is a great video to watch.

Yeah, but it looks like that was 6 years ago. I doubt I would spend that much anyway. Might be nicer to have one with some use and some history if possible.
I do not see a select fire topic section so I am posting to the M1 carbine forum where I know a few people. Is anyone familiar with the Reising Model 50's and if so does anyone know much about the...
Been doing alot of reading about how the carbine round is frowned upon by some people. Then you have others who praise the round, I happen to be one of them. I've shot a few things from 75 to 100...
Well, the belt and pouches evidently were not compatible so I sent the item back to the seller.
This is the actual item. I'll probably not use this in the field but keep as a collectible.
M1 Carbine mag pouches and belt - eBay (item 380352244764 end time Jul-14-11 09:36:12 PDT)
Maybe I don't know how to attach the pouches to the belt. Does the back of the pouch metal piece snap into the buttons on the belt? If so, I must be missing something.
My pouches have the button on the back as pictured above.
This ebay auction link shows the belt I have.
US USMC WWII M1-Carbine 5 Snap Belt | eBay
After receiving the 5 pouches and 5 snap belt, I've discovered that the pouches do not attach to the belt? This is probably common knowledge to some on here, so what do the early carbine pouches...
I haven't gotten the pouches yet, got some off ebay and should arrive early next week.
I was referring to the thin belts with 5 buttons, and the 1943 era pouches that had a button on the back that allowed them to be attached to the belt. I bought the set up and will see if they fit.

I am looking for a belt with pouches to put my M1 garand clips in and also my M1 Carbine magazine. Will the Garand clips fit into the 2 pocket Carbine pouches from WWII?
I see some with a belt...
I've been watching this auction and was wondering what others think. Is this a real find or a restoration?
WWII M1 CARBINE - SAGINAW S'G' - MINT : Semi-auto at GunBroker.com
I've been looking for a nice M1 Garand, one that I can go out and shoot and still say it was in WWII. Is it OK to buy a restored one? I found this one on GB and was hoping to get an honest opinion of...
I'll keep this one together. I don't think it's been monkeyed with since it left the arsenal but I could be wrong, I'm just learning about the carbines. Here are a more photos of where I believe the...
Well I did buy the carbine but it's not a Rock Ola, it has a Rock Ola recoil plate, it's a standard products 2,193,143
There are no import marks, This really looks like an arsenal rebuild that...
From the photos, could it have left the Rock Island Arsenal like it is? How would I know if this is a "gem"?
Is that a "pot belly" stock?
I might be going to look at a Rock Ola tomorrow and have limited facts about this one. I don't know the serial # or barrel markings but he said it is a Rock-Ola receiver. It has the RIA EB stamping...
I've shot 1 box of remington cartridges, has anybody tried Herter's brand?
Does Cabelas ever have the Remington on sale?
What exactly are you getting from CMP? I looked at their carbine auctions and most of them are around $1300 to $1400 with multiple bids and multiple days remaining. Are these CMP carbines that nice...
