Just been to a 200m shoot, most of us shot about 12 - 18" high when it started raining. After the rain stopped we all shot to centre again.
I've heard the saying "lights up, sights up" - but what...
I wonder if the guys in NZ (Reloaders Supplies) import them direct from Grafs rather that Hornady??
I've not really had much luck with the fmj Hornady, they are really only .310".
you guys really need to try the Hornady 3130G .312 HPBT that Hornady make for Graf's in the US.

These shoot way better than the...
I run 46.5gr ADI 2209 with RP (Remington) brass and Lee collet dies - I am up to about 8 reloads in my No.4 with a standard chamber. The 2209 feels softer and is slightly lower pressure than 2208....
I like this site, but if I can't use IE, then I'll have to abandon visiting it.
"We recommend any other web browser, such as Safari, FireFox or Chrome, all of which are free...."
IE is still a...
I'm in New Zealand & could probably be convinced to sell mine if the price was right :D
I'm building a big block Chevy right now which is sucking up money!
Steve
RP Remington cases, Reloaders stock them. Quite soft brass, if you use Lee collet dies you will get heaps of reloads
SSJ, I have used 2209 for a long time now, more accurate than 2208 and I feel it is a bit softer to shoot. My favourite load is RP cases, Murom primers, 46 gr 2209 and the Hornady 3130G 174 boat tail...
Mine is DA817, I'm sure I have seen much lower than that too. One of the most accurate .22s I have shot.
Brian - Have you contacted Hornady? they seem to be making a good range of non-mainstream cartridges. Their 3130G http://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/product/productId/21415 is a great projectile.
Gee if we were, I guess Australia would have almost doubled their Olympic Gold medal count:dancingbanana::dancingbanana:
Was it one of you guys that bought the no.9 on Trademe yesterday? These things certainly seem to be a good investment.
Bit of a shame though to see it going off shore to Aus.
Go to an auto parts store & ask if the sell sheets of gasket material.
That's part of what I do, but I'm in New Zealand :)
Remember when the NZDF auctioned off some No.8 & 9 rifles? well I was lucky enough to get a No.9, It cost me $950 (about $800 oz or us) - more than I really wanted to pay at the time.
Well, at the...
Kyusha,
I'm also in Auckland like Roger, I reckon you could pay $4 -5,000 for a T in New Zealand. I have wanted one for a LONG time!
Last one I looked at had a two groove barrel fitted so i...
The picture is WRONG, they are a hollow point boat-tail & .312 diameter. They shoot extremely well in my No4 Mk2 & No1 MkIII*. I also have a No4 Mk1 with target barrel & ph sights that shoots small...
Paul,
I'll check at home - just in case. I think I used the last one on a 7.62 conversion that I fitted No. 8 wood work to. A large quantity of No.8s were destroyed by the NZDF a few years ago, so...
Paul,
try looking at gunworks.co.nz, contact Robbie. I sold him a box of No 8 spares a few years ago - there was a number of front bands in the box.
Steve
Hey Roger,
have you talked to Vulcan Barrels in Christchurch? Truflite are rather expensive.

Come along to the Antique Arms meeting on Wednesday, the owner is most likely to be there. He has displayed it at a couple of our past gunshows.
Steve
I know where there is one in New Zealand.
If you do cut the barrel with a hacksaw, you can then use a lee case trimmer with a pilot that fits the bore to crown it - sounds a bit rough but I tried it on a 2-groove barrel that ended up...
If you want a reduced recoil, the little Russian round is great, you can shorten up & re-chamber the 303 barrel. A mini-30 5 round mag fits flush & feeds like dream. Some work is needed to the...
About ten of the rests shown by Badger came up for sale in New Zealand earlier this year, I walked into an Auckland gunshop, saw one for sale for $95, wasn't really sure what it was but bought it....
