Indeed. I plan on replacing it as the plate on my mk2 sits on this stock nicely, so it seems to be an issue with the plate not the butt.
The butt has not been squared off. I tried the brass butt plate on my mk2 Faz to see if it would sit flush on the Maltby butt and indeed it did. Looking at the butt plates side by side they look near...
