I cant see any Israeli markings on the barrel, there is some strange markingings on the top of the reciever. (pictured)
There are not any more markings on the scope than what has already...

Apparently from collectors I have spoken to locally, the funny looking letter in the circle indicates a Lithgow conversion.
I know nothing to do with the topic, but couldn't help it !
Can anyone tell me anything about these Lithgow conversions, I cant seem to find any info on them?

Hi,
I had the same problem, played around with the tabs front and rear on the mag for ages. Eventually gave up got a new mag and everything cam fine !
Try a different mag is my recommendation....
I thought you boys would be interested in this rifle I saw in the Waiouru Ary Museum.
It's also woth noting they used the "A" suffix to denote non interchangable parts on trials rifles
