I have actually been looking for a box or two of those for my collection haha. I bet they were stored aboard ships since a whole roll would be too much for one soldier and was probably used during...

Everyone seems to be in a defensive posture pretty much keeping their heads low except the guy in the background taking a leisurely stroll down the beach haha. In all seriousness though, would that...
Not to disagree with you because I agree 100% with everything you posted but playing devil's advocate, couldn't you say that Russia broke the treaty first in 2014 by invading Crimea and keeping it as...
I must admit when it comes to auctions, I am a sniper haha. Don't want to give the other guy a chance to think too much so I usually just put my highest dollar I'm willing to go when it gets down to...
Could you imagine how hard it would be to breathe on a foot march in one of those? I wouldn't want to find out that's for sure haha
Everything else with it aside, that area around the firing pin hole on that bolt face certainly doesn't look good to me. Has that been eroded away or just lousy machining?
I've always loved the look of the haversack. I've read most troops did not like them.
Yep, they're flat as a pancake!
:rofl::rofl:
Is this a late world war II photograph or Korean war? I ask because his winter gloves look more like Korean war issue to me than what they used in world war II but I could be wrong. I'm not very...
The only difference in size really is the rifle grenades are just a little shorter but are relatively the same size. The m31 rifle grenade is even bigger than this bazooka rocket. The m31 might not...
Oh wow my bad haha! The tail end looks like it would fit over an M7A3 haha

If eBay couldn't figure out that those boxes were empty just by the weight of it, there is something wrong with them haha
Also, if you're not sure what all is missing, numerics has a schematic that you can look at online to figure out what you need and the names of those parts.hth
Wow you did a great job if that used to be black!
Yes, Jimb is right on, cleaning everything first before replacing anything is the right way to go about it. If that doesn't solve it, next move on to the springs.also, clean The extractor itself...
Sounds like a weak recoil spring to me, or maybe a weak Hammer spring. The commenter above me is correct, make sure it is in battery before firing the second shot by just smacking the slide handle...
There are a great bunch of folks here that are in the know that will always be willing to help you. So if you run across anything in the future, before buying it, just present it to the experts here...
Yes I believe it is an M1 adapter. Looks like they have even bent the spoon handle on the smoke grenade itself to adapt to the adapter haha
So this would be the predecessor to the M2A1 chemical projection adapter? Looks to me like he's using a regular M1 adapter with four prongs with tape or something to squeeze the prongs to the smoke...
Please forgive my ignorance but why is it impossible for them to reproduce the tapered spar tubes?
Makes you wonder why armscor can't accomplish that at their plant!
That is one scary story! That is the first time I have ever heard of a squib without some kind of weak ignition. I personally would be paranoid shooting it after reading stories like that.
