I shoot what is called bare balling- pour in the powder, put a wad of hornets nest on top of the powder, then the ball, bare no patching and a wad of hornets nest on top to keep the ball from rolling...

primers backing out is a sign of excessive head space! a lot of JAP 6.5,s have it. no chrome bore like the type 99,s.

when I fire form my brass I use UNIQUE, rice krispies, they do not create a heavy wad, and pack hard. they keep the powder against the primer and disintegrate when fired. then I push the case neck...

they are indeed pin fires in 11/mm, I also have two of them and are a lot of fun to shoot! you can get pin fire brass from BOB HAYLEY IN SEYMOUR, TEXAS. at 211 NORTH RIVER, PO BOX 889, SEYMOUR, TX....

you are right the lee # 2 is a piece of crap really sloppy cost me several new cases on the second loading, even with lube! I ordered an RCBS #9 problem solved! have fun with your gun.

if you think $89.00 is a lot the original's go for as much as $250.00. when you can get the gun for around $125.00.
